With BAFA®-laid scrims you are up in the air easily. You will find these textile bonding systems in air craft seats. In the production process the diagonal scrim not only offers a base structure for high performance fibres, such as carbon, even air entrapments in unidirectional prepregs can be minimized. In this respect the UD-scrims of carbon- or glassfibres are stabilized by BAFA®– laid scrims of about 3 g/m² which make them suitable for applications in wind energy plants..
